History of Danestone
There has been evidence of habitation of the Danestone area since the 19th Century, where ordinance maps show a farm located in the area. The area continues to have large swathes of rural land but has slowly grown into a suburb beside Bridge of Don. As Bridge of Don and Aberdeen expanded, it became a prime area for development, and Danestone Primary School and various different types of housing were built in the 1980s. The area has continued to expand since in line with its growing population.
